The ERASysBio partners are committed to encourage the adoption of data standards, data management and sharing best practices across the European Research Area. This is crucial for the rapid development of systems biology and several mechanisms are being put in place to fulfil this urgent action.
The ERASysBio Plus call requested scientists submitting full proposals to describe data standards, data management and data sharing plans for the operation of their project consortium. Applicants were requested to define a set of data standards and best practice to be adopted by the consortium and present a clear structure for the management and sharing of data and models within the consortium. In its call text, ERASysBio Plus pre-announces its
expectation that Data Management will extend beyond the boundaries of each
consortium, and that a common strategy will be agreed and adopted by all funded
projects, for communication, data storage, data/model exchange and data/model
sharing.
